Weather and the Forest

Weather plays an important role in everyday forest life. It affects all living things in many ways.

Log on to or or
watch your local television weather reports
every day during a one week period and record daily weather conditions (temperature, sunlight, clouds, wind, precipitation, humidity, etc.).

Prepare a daily weather map from the data you have collected and then write a report to explain how the week's weather may have affected living things in the forests of your region.

It may be interesting to repeat this project each season of the year to illustrate the effects of weather has on plants and animals during different seasons.
